3. Collection and use of your data

The extent and nature of the collection and use of your data differs according to whether you visit our website only for obtaining information, register as a member or make use of other services offered by us:

a) Informational use

It is not necessary for you to provide any personal data when using our website for purely informational purposes.
In this case, we collect and use only your personal data which your Internet browser automatically transfers to our web server, such as: Data and time of the access to one of our Internet sites, your browser type, the browser settings, the operating system used, the last site visited by you, the volume of data transferred and the access status (file transferred, file not found etc.) and your IP address.
In the case of an informational visit to our website, we collect and use this data exclusively in a non-personalised form. This is done to enable the use of the Internet sites visited by you, for statistical purposes and to improve our Internet offer.

b) Use of offers and forum membership

For using the following services, you will be required to register as a ‘participant’ or ‘user’. You will be asked to provide the following data:

Registration as a participant

Name, username, e-mail, password

Registration as manufacturer / distributor

First name, last name, username, e-mail, address (street, postcode, city/town)

The above data is marked as mandatory fields on the respective form. Depending on the offer/service or form you may provide further details on a voluntary basis.

Double opt-in: Your registration will become valid only upon your confirmation of your registration by clicking on a link in a confirmation email sent to you for this purpose (‘double opt-in’). We use this procedure to ensure that the person registering is also the holder of the email address provided.

The data provided by you will be sent to and stored on our CRM system. We do this to make sure that we can provide the service for which you have registered and that we can offer support and information on the content and organisation of such services.

Authentication and login to your account is made via your username and your password.
We use your first name, last name and email address to personalise any information we send you (e.g. newsletter) that you requested or have subscribed to. We use your company name and address to continuously improve and adapt the information we offer with regard to geographic or industry specific requests.

Every time you login as a registered user (‘participant’), access data will be stored on the web server log file(s) (server log). The records stored contain the following data: date and time of access to a webpage, your browser type, your browser’s settings, your operating system, the page you last visited, the data volume transferred and the access status (file transferred, file not found etc.), your IP address.
This data will be deleted after the expiry of 7 days. This data will not be transferred to third parties.

Your IP address will also be stored when you visit our site. It will only be used to identify you via your provider if illegal content is submitted using your user name or if we need to defend ourselves against third-party claims due to your contributions. Otherwise, an IP address will be an anonymous sequence of numbers to us.

c) Using Services and Joining a Forum at testtoolreview.com - Registration

When you would like to use services we offer on our website, for instance making postings on the forum or subscribing to a newsletter or the like, you will be required, however, to register as a participant and to provide more data during registration. You will be required to provide the data that is required for an individual operation, which may be your user name and your password that you need for logging in as well as your email address as a contact address and for sending you information (for instance newsletters) you have subscribed to.

You will be required to register because we need to be able to prevent illegal content and to take action against, for instance, insults or abusive criticism. You may use most of the website and its content anonymously. When you want to enter content or participate in the forum, we will need your valid registration with your address and your email address; you will receive a link for your confirmation after your registration. Your user name will be activated after you click on the link. Other users will see your user name when your postings are published.

Every time you log in to the forum, access data will be stored in the server log and/or the logfile of the respective application. These access data records may contain the following information: date/time of your visit of the website, the status, the browser request to the server, the data volume transmitted, the referrer as well as information on the browser used.
You may provide further details on a voluntary basis; these are marked accordingly on the registration form. After registration is complete, you may change or delete this data in your user account at any time. We collect and use your data for the purpose of providing the service you requested, for instance for providing the information or for sending you the newsletter that you requested that is an individual newsletter for you.

For this purpose, your data may be forwarded to service providers working for us, which of course we have carefully selected. The service providers may include technical service providers (for instance internet providers) or service providers that provide programming, design or marketing services to us (for instance web agencies).
We will only forward your data to other third parties if we have a legal obligation to do so.

Upon your visit, your IP address will also be stored; it will be retained in a traceable form for 6 months from the end of your visit to our website’s forum. It will only be used to identify you via your provider if illegal content has been submitted with your user name or if we need to defend ourselves against third-party claims due to your postings. Otherwise, an IP address will be an anonymous sequence of numbers to us which will be deleted after the expiry of 6 months.

4. Newsletter

In order to be able to register for our e-mail Newsletter service, and in addition to your data protection consent, we need at least your e-mail address, to which the Newsletter is to be sent. Any other information is voluntary, and will be used to be able to address you personally and design the contents of the Newsletter for you personally, and to clarify questions about your e-mail address.
For the Newsletter dispatch, we usually use the so-called Double Opt-In Procedure, i.e. we will only send you the Newsletter if you first confirm your registration by means of a link contained in a confirmation e-mail sent to you for this purpose. In this way, we ensure that only you yourself as the owner of the specified e-mail address can register for the Newsletter. Your confirmation must be sent within 48 hours following receipt of the confirmation e-mail, since otherwise your Newsletter registration will be automatically deleted from our database.
You can cancel your Newsletter subscription at any time, either by sending us a corresponding e-mail to the e-mail address given in the Imprint, or via the link at the end of the Newsletter, or via your user account.

5. Data protection and advertising consent

By setting the checkmark in the registration form of the forum and/or the Newsletter, you declare your consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with this data protection declaration. You declare in particular your agreement that we may save your IP address, offer you contents personalised to your requirements, and store your data also outside the EU.
You also declare that you are authorised to give this personal data to us.
In addition to the provision of the required services, we would also like to offer you – only provided that you give your separate, explicit consent – an Internet site specifically directed at your interests, and occasionally send to you, by post or e-mail (in the form of our Newsletter) new information about our company, our goods and services, which on the basis of your data may be of interest to you, and use your data for the necessary evaluation and for market research purposes. It is a technical requirement for this purpose that we collate your specified data in usage profiles, and evaluate these for the above purposes. This will only take place internally and only for the above purposes.
You may give your consents separately and view them at any time in your user account. You may also revoke them at any time with effect for the future.

6. Transfer to third parties

Your data may be transferred to service providers who act on our behalf as processors:

• support or maintenance of computing equipment or IT applications
• data destruction

According to Art. 28 para. 3 Clause 2 lit. b, 29, 32 para. 4 DSGVO, these service providers are contractually bound to treat your data as confidential.

Furthermore, your data will be transferred to third parties when a third-party obligation exists:

• transfer of data to authorities
• transfer of data to tax consultants, certified public accountants, tax auditors or wage tax inspectors.

7. Data deletion and storage period

We process and save your personal data as long as they are required to fulfill the respective purpose. A further storage may be carried out if this has been stipulated by European or national legislators in EU law-based regulations, legislation or any other provisions which we underlie as responsible party. Moreover, your data will be deleted if you exercise your right to delete data. If your data are no longer needed or if a storage period that is required according to the standards mentioned has expired, your data will be deleted on a regular basis.

6. Use of Cookies

For our Internet site, we use the technology of cookies. Cookies are small text files, which in the context of your visit to our websites are sent to your browser by our web server, and stored on your computer for later retrieval.
We use only so-called session cookies (also referred to as temporary cookies), i.e. cookies which are stored only for the duration of your use of one of our Internet sites. The purpose of these cookies is to continue to identify your computer during a visit to our website when you switch from one of our websites to another, and to be able to determine the end of your visit.
The cookies are deleted as soon as you end your browser session.
You can specify yourself whether cookies can be set and called up by means of the settings in your browser. For example, you can completely deactivate the saving of cookies in your browser, restrict it to certain websites or configure your browser so that it automatically notifies you as soon as a cookie is to be set, and ask you to respond. For the complete functionality of our Internet site however, it is necessary for technical reasons to allow these session cookies.
The collection or saving of personal data in cookies does not take place in this context. We also employ techniques that combine accumulating information through cookies with user data.

8. Right of revocation and objection

We would like to point out that you can at any time revoke any data protection consent given to us with effect for the future.
You can also object at any time to the creation of usage profiles by us in the context of this data protection declaration for advertising and market research purposes, and for the specific design of our websites, by contacting us at the e-mail address datenschutz@imbus.de.

9. Social Media Plugins

The social media link on our website www.testtoolreview.com linkedin (linkedin.com) is not integrated via a social media plugin. Consequently, no direct connection to social media providers will be established when you visit our site.

The integrated image contains only a HTTP link that will forward you to the www.testtoolreview.com page on the respective social media platform. What will also be transmitted to the respective service is that you are being forwarded to the respective page www.testtoolreview.com on the individual social media platform. If you are a member of the social media service and logged in to your social media user account, the social media service may associate your visit to our site and/or our social media page with your personal user account. If you want to prevent this, log off your account before using the above social media link(s). For further information on how social media services collect and use data, on your rights and your options to protect your privacy, please read the privacy notes of the respective social media service.

10. Links

Where you use external links offered on our web site, this Data Protection Policy will not cover such links. Whether other service providers comply with the regulations on data protection and security is beyond our control. Therefore, please refer to the data protection policies provided on the websites of the other service providers.

11. Embedded Videos

On some of our pages, links to video clips have been embedded that are stored on YouTube servers (www.youtube.com/t/impressum). When you click on the thumbnail image (to play a video), data will be transmitted to YouTube, and during such transmission of data, YouTube will assign you a visitor ID.

12. Date security

We use technical and organisational security measures in order to protect collected personal data, particularly against accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction or against access by unauthorised persons. Our security measures are continually improved in line with technological development.
The registration procedure and any ordering procedures (especially the entry of payment and credit card data), are encrypted using SSL technology in order to prevent access by unauthorised third parties during transmission.

13. Use of Analytic Tools

We use the web analytics software Matomo (Piwik) offered by InnoCraft Ltd., 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand (matomo.org).
